I’ve always dreamed of being in a band and writing my autobiography on the website. And since I get to do that now I HAVE to start it with my zodiac sign…but I honestly don’t even know what mine is…My birthday is April 12th…somebody help!!! Guys…don’t freak out…I’m just kidding. I don’t take any stock in horoscopes and stuff.
My name is Devin John Foldy the 1st. There will be no Devin John the 2nd because my wife, Shannon, refuses to name our first boy after me!! Oh well…good things have to end sometime….I currently play the drums for Ashes 2 Glory. I moved up to the Jacksonville area from Kississmee, FL to attend Trinity Baptist College. When i began attending Trinity Baptist College and Church, I wasnt really involved right away. I played drums in my Church back home since I was 11, but there were no opportunities to serve in that area at Trinity.
Well, finally after two years, the door opened and the current drummer was moving his family to Tallahassee. I offered my services and the Lord has allowed me to play in the orchestra for the last three years.
Playing in the orchestra has allowed me to meet some of my closest friends. I met my wife Shannon (the rocker chick who sings in the band), Joel (our Nazi bass player!!!), and many other close friends. (Troy…I didn’t forget about you buddy…you just don’t play in the orchestra!!)
Well…I’m kinda reminiscing and rambling…(my wife says I have that problem) so let me cut to the chase. I have a passion for music and worship. I love expressing my thanksgiving and my praise to Christ through playing drums. My prayer is that wherever the Lord may take our band, He will be pleased with the offering of praise that we lift up to Him every time we take the stage!!! God Bless!!!
